Naples Coach
Leads "Eagles" to Victory
Four years
ago Bill Kramer stepped onto Staver Field
as head coach for the Naples Eagles. By
demonstrating hard work and boosting team
morale, he led the Eagles to the first football
state championship victory in Collier County.
Coach Kramer has turned Naples High football
around, by taking fresh blood and turning
them into not only a team, but also a family.
Coach Kramer will start out next season
with new faces, as he says goodbye to 17
of his 22 starters when they graduate in
May.
The Eagles had an excellent season this
year, and Coach Kramer and his teams
efforts can be seen hard at work by just
glancing at the stats. Coach Kramer took
a special interest in his team, on and off
the field. Team dinners, off season workouts,
and community service ventures are just
a few things the coach does to bring the
football team together.
In March, several football players and Coach
Kramer read to kindergarten students at
Lake Park Elementary. Team involvement on
and off the field is key to the success
of any team, and Coach Kramer has proved
that with the Naples Eagles.
Next season, Coach Kramer will set out with
a similar challenge as when he started coaching
the Eagles four years ago. With 25 players
graduating, Coach Kramer will have a lot
of hard work and dedication to put forth,
so that he can lead the Eagles to many more
victories.
